Lancaster Stage Dance Festival

We are delighted to announce that the following Von Trapp children took part in Lancaster Stage Dance festival this Easter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This incredibly talented bunch collected an amazing 50 medals and 26 trophies! Congratulations!

Founded in 1904, MAODS is a Morecambe based Musical Theatre group who proudly present professional standard shows year-on-year. Our dynamic group of members combine people of all ages and abilities, some of whom have made it onto the West End Stage!

Productions take place anually in Lancaster Grand Theatre and run for 6 performances.

Me and My Girl - Awards Evening

On the night of Friday 8th July the Lune Valley Jazz Band and Morecambe Golf Club played host to a wonderful evening to celebrate the success of our 2011 production 'Me and My Girl'. Following some fine food and entertainment from the expeirnced musical ensemble memebers of MAODS received awards

Best Male Dancer: Paul Jones. Best Female Singer: Sarah Hicks. Best Male Singer: Paul Jones. Best Costume: Sarah Hicks / Richard Prescott. Best Cockney Accent: Sarah Hicks. Best Posh Accent: Gail Bowskill / Irene Melling. Funniest Performance: Karl Roe. Best Team Player: Alex Morris. Best Blunder!: Heidi Quine (dropping lemonade in orchestra pit!) Best Newcomer to MAODS: Karl Roe. Most dedicated Member: Alan (for not missing rehearsals during difficult family circumstance) Youngest Member: Kurtis Cusimano (very well done on your performance! )

 

West Side Story - Awards Evening

Following the success of the 2010 production of 'West Side Story' a formal event was held at Morecambe Golf club for all it's memebers. During the evening, cast memebers were presented with awards based on an array of qualities such as 'Best Female Dancer' and 'Funniest Male Role'. Memebers also got the chance to let their hair down and demonstrates their abilities on the dance floor whilst enjoying a spot of champagne! Needless to say, a great time was had by all.
